Are pets allowed?
Yes, but dogs MUST be kept on leads and not allowed to run freely outside the house. The cottage is surrounded by sheep farming and it is imperative that we and our guests remain on good terms with the neighbouring farmer. There is a sheep dip 30 metres from the house, at the end of the drive. The farmer has the right to bring his sheep and dogs through the yard to use the dip, which happens two or three times a year.

Can I pitch a tent?
A small tent can be pitched on the grass in front of the house.

Yes. For more information see the Pout Howe page.

The weather is bad, what should I do?
Park at the top of the hill, before reaching the second gate, if snow or ice is forecast, unless you have a four wheel drive.

Is there a TV/internet at the house?
